Forbes: Founder and CEO of SMB Franchise Advisors Discusses How To Franchise Your Business
Steven Beagelman, Founder and CEO of SMB Franchise Advisors, explains the process of turning a business into a franchise.
In a recent interview with Forbes, Steven Beagelman, Founder and CEO of SMB Franchise Advisors, explains how businesses can take the next step into franchising.
The first step, according to Beagelman, is all about asking yourself a key question — What makes your brand unique? There must be certain qualities in a business that makes it stand out amongst others. In other words, a unique attribute or story can set a brand apart and make it special. It is also important to decide whether the brand can thrive in different geographical locations.
Once all of the key factors have been identified, Beagelman says it is important to ensure that there is a process in place to establish a well-balanced system. As people decide they want to franchise a business, they're going to rely on a team of corporate members to get them started. Ultimately, the business model of a franchise must be fine-tuned in order to succeed, Beagelman told Forbes
“Franchising takes a lot of effort, time and attention, but for many, it can also be a rewarding journey,” said Beagelman. “A founder needs to make sure the business is growing and headed in the right direction before taking the next step to franchise their business.”
