Also, we constantly look at new products, programs and the evolution of content so that we can address every child's academic needs.”&nbsp;The brand’s development goals in 2022 start with Texas, where more franchisees are stepping up to the plate to assist children suffering from COVID learning loss. With 60 existing centers in the state, Sylvan has seen a recent surge in sales and new-owner signings and is seeking continued growth in 70 additional markets throughout the state.Sylvan’s home state of Maryland is another priority market for development, as schools there have been hit especially hard by COVID disruption. That growth is supported, McAuliffe says, by a surge of prospective franchisees who are looking to change careers and make a positive impact in their communities.Jenny Nelson is an educator who brought a Sylvan to the community of El Campo, Texas, in 2021. “Before COVID, I saw the need, but now we need it even more,” said Nelson. “I know people that drive hours to bring their children to the nearest Sylvan Learning.
