The great author M.D. Arnold once said, "A good leader leads
the people from above them. A great leader leads the people from within
them." At Buffalo Wings & Rings
that is exactly how the management team has built a successful business and why
franchisees should believe in their management team.
“Our leadership team has a high level of character and
believes in our core values. It is a
strong team with the same passion and enthusiasm for the business and building
a great brand,” said Philip Schram, executive vice president of franchise development. “We are a unified team that is supportive and
produces positive results.”
With new owners in 2005– each of whom took on a senior
management role in the company, the brand soared to new heights with a
continuous 13 percent growth annually. The new owners, Philip Schram, Nader
Masadeh and Haytham David, created a franchise model for Buffalo Wings &
Rings, offering a uniform management system that delivers a strong unit-level
economic potential. In 2014, original investor Nader Masadeh moved into the president
and CEO position. Under his leadership, Buffalo Wings & Rings plans to
continue focusing on perfecting its brand and expansion.
“If I were a franchisee looking at a franchisor, I would
make sure management is investing back into the brand. At Buffalo Wings & Rings we are all in it
for the long haul as investors, managers and leaders,” said Schram. “It is important for our teams to know, as a
company, we are not lining our pockets but rather distributing it throughout
the company to constantly grow and make improvements.”
Buffalo Wings & Rings is privately held, thus creating a
sense of family and ownership throughout the system. Management is fully vested in the company
with success of its franchisees at the foundation.
“Employee development, from the members of our corporate
team all the way down to the cooks and wait staff in our restaurants, is an
area where I and the rest of the management team are particularly passionate,”
said Masadeh. “You’re only as good as
your people, and we pride ourselves in managing and helping develop the best
team in the industry.”
A commitment to its people is shown by the involvement
management has on all levels, from training to check-ins, assistance along the
way, continuous growth programs, marketing and constant investment.
“Franchisees are looking at the franchisor to look forward
and prepare the organization for the next 5-10 years to come. The industry is
always changing and we need to be at the top of our game,” added Masadeh.
“Buffalo Wings & Rings is the kind of inviting place where friends and
family like to get together, watch a game and share stories over great food,
and I’m proud to lead this brand to even greater heights in the years to come.”
