As a brand, Buffalo Wings & Rings has experienced 14 percent growth year over year for 7 years and 15 consecutive quarters of positive same store sales growth.  In 2008, Buffalo Wings & Rings was named number one by Restaurant Business magazine on its Future 50 list of growing chains.

“We are growing and excited about the opportunities in the U.S. and abroad,” said Philip Schram, Executive Vice President of Franchise Development. “We currently have 35 restaurants open in the U.S. with 10 more under construction and 13 restaurants open internationally with 10 more under construction. We are growing smart and aggressively.”

Markets sought across the U.S. and internationally include– California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas – and several abroad and in the Middle East Region.

The franchise employs close to 2500 across all its locations, with an average of 40 per unit. Only five of the franchise units are company owned.

“Some companies might reserve the best markets for the company-owned stores and leave to franchisees more challenging areas,” Schram said. “With us, clearly, when we do site selection we are trying to find the best location within our targeted area for our franchisees.”

Bufffalo Wings & Rings plans to continue to grow the size of its footprint with goals to open one new restaurant a month in 2015.

Schram says they plan to do this via developing people within the brand, continuing to build upon superior service and continuing to be an exciting brand that guests want to be a part of and dine at. “We have the simplicity of fast casual with engagement and the revenue of casual dining.  It’s the perfect formula for growth and success.”
