FSC Franchise Co. Ends Q3 With 4 Openings, 21 New Franchise Agreements, Continued Momentum

The Beef ‘O’ Brady’s and The Brass Tap parent company has a full franchise development pipeline, thanks to strong unit-level performance.

TAMPA, FL — FSC Franchise Co., the parent company of Beef ‘O’ Brady’s and The Brass Tap, is approaching 2024 with great momentum. In the third quarter, it awarded 21 franchises and opened four new restaurants, expanding in Oldsmar, Florida; Belcamp, Maryland; California, Maryland; and Austin, Texas. Looking to the remainder of the year, the franchisor expects even more openings.

“We’ve continued to see strong growth this year with great revenue performance and ongoing interest from prospective franchisees,” explained CEO Chris Elliott. “At the end of the third quarter, we had over 100 new units in the pipeline, and we expect 17 of those will be able to open next year — 14 Brass Tap locations and three Beef ‘O’ Brady’s.”

A key driver of the franchisor’s continued growth is the ongoing favorable performance in Beef ‘O’ Brady’s restaurants. Over the past 13 years, 11 have noted positive year-over-year revenue trends, and the brand is expecting more of the same this year.

“Considering that this time frame includes the pandemic years, which were especially trying for restaurant brands, this trend is a huge testament to the strength of the Beef ‘O’ Brady’s model,” added Elliott. “The Beef ‘O’ Brady’s comps are up nearly 6% year-to-date, and average unit volumes have grown significantly.”

With positive momentum at both the top and bottom lines, Elliott says ongoing menu innovation and consumer specials are clearly paying off. This year, the “10 @ $10” promotion at Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, which offers 10 mouthwatering classics for just $10 each, has been a key driver.

The franchisor is embracing similar menu innovation at The Brass Tap as the craft beer franchise grows its footprint. Additionally, a new food truck menu will launch at The Brass Tap next year, catering to experimental diners seeking something new in their meals.

“The Brass Tap food truck menu brings something unique and cool to the table,” said Elliott. “We know that The Brass Tap guest generally likes to experiment and enjoys what we call ‘Instagrammable’ foods, and this new lineup gives us an option to offer fun products with aggressive price points.”

With ongoing growth, FSC Franchise Co. is implementing additional education and training resources to ensure both unit-level team members and franchisees are positioned to succeed.

“We are developing a new operations and training initiative called ‘My Favorite Place,’” said Elliott. “This will be an integrated program that will help to build our capability at the operational level, ensuring we have consistent service for the guests and supporting our goal of developing and promoting team members internally.”

Looking toward 2024, Elliott recognizes the power of both the new consumer-facing and franchisee-facing offerings and programs, noting that everything is working in conjunction to maintain the satisfying experience people expect from The Brass Tap and Beef ‘O’ Brady’s as the systems grow.
