Birmingham News: Your Pie pizza restaurant opening first Alabama location in Homewood

Your Pie, a fast casual pizza chain that began in Athens, Ga. will open its first Alabama restaurant this fall in the SoHo Square retail center in Homewood. Franchisee Lloyd Peeples is new to the restaurant business, but felt it was the perfect opportunity for him.

"I was looking for some investment opportunities," Peeples said.

"I wasn't looking at franchising or even restaurants, . . . (but) I was in Atlanta on business and ate at one of their restaurants near Perimeter Mall and started thinking, 'Man, this would be kinda cool in Birmingham.' I checked out their website to see if they had any in Alabama, and they didn't," Peeples told the Birmingham News.

Peeples also has plans to open two more locations in the Birmingham.

"My goal would be to have all three stores open by the end of 2016," he told the Birmingham News.
