Miguel Lozano most recently worked for Starbucks.

Miguel Lozano, a Starbucks executive who was a restaurant manager for El Pollo Loco more than 20 years ago, is the quick-service chicken chain’s new chief operating officer, according to a Nation’s Restaurant News report.
Lozano, who also previously owned an El Pollo Loco franchise, starts his new role on April 1 and will be replacing former senior vice president of operations Gus Siade, according to the article.
“His proven leadership skills and extensive knowledge of the restaurant industry will be instrumental in helping El Pollo Loco simplify and transform our operating platform to ensure meaningful and sustainable growth for the future and also do it in a way that is consistent with our values,” El Pollo Loco CEO Bernard Acoca said of Lozano in a statement, according to the article.
