Qdoba Changes Name

The fast-casual Mexican chain Qdoba Mexican Grill changed its name to Qdoba Mexican Eats. The company hopes the name change will help the brand stand out from the fast-casual Mexican space. In conjunction with the name change, Qdoba relaunched the brand’s website, and updated staff uniforms. The brand has also launched six new Knockout Tacos, a contemporary twist on street tacos with slow-cooked and grilled meats.
 
Papa John’s Announces Players’ Choice Special
 
Football fans can now eat like their favorite football player thanks to Papa John’s new Player’s Choice special. Papa John’s created the pizzas by ranking NFL players during the offseason. The three new pizzas are the Sriracha Meats, BBQ Chicken Bacon Pizza and The Works. All will be available from Oct. 26, to Nov. 22, 2015.
 
Johnny Rockets is Expanding Globally
 
The franchise chain Johnny Rockets has big plans for global expansion. As part of its strategy to double its global footprint by 2017, Johnny Rockets has announced plans to open 49 new restaurants in Italy, Paraguay and Canada. Some of the new locations will open as early as 2016.

Zaxby’s Celebrates 25 Years by Giving Back
 
To honor Zaxby’s 25th year in business, the brand has announced a brand-wide celebration at all locations. The brand is rewarding fans by bringing back the Celebration Special Meal. The Celebration Special Meal features four Chicken Fingerz, Crinkle Fries, Texas Toast, Zax Sauce and a 32-ounce drink. In addition to the meal the brand is sponsoring a record numbers of wished granted through the Make-A-Wish foundation and is also sponsoring a national college football bowl game benefiting first responders.
 
Pie Five Releases New LTO Pizza
 
Dallas-based Pie Five Pizza is offering a new limited-time offering pizza. The new meatza pizza features Italian sausage, bacon, salami and pepperoni on top of Mozzarella cheese and a marinara sauce blend. The new pizza will be available from Oct. 27 to Nov. 6, 2015.
