1851 On The Road: Russell Frith of Lawn Doctor

When Russell Frith joined the Lawn Doctor* team back in 1983 as president and CEO, the brand was just getting started. Building upon Lawn Doctor’s strong foundation, Frith has shaped the company’s evolution for nearly 25 years.

Within those 25 years, Frith has helped Lawn Doctor emerge as one of the most successful franchise companies in the United States, achieving accolades like “One of America’s Best Franchises” by Success Magazine, No. 1 Lawn Care Franchise by Entrepreneur Magazine, and World-Class Franchise by Fran Survey. Frith himself has been recognized as a top authority on both franchising and business, too. He was named “Man of the Year” by Landscape Management and served as a past president of the Professional Lawn Care Association of America. And most recently, Frith was recognized by the International Franchise Association at the 2017 Annual Convention by being honored with the Hall of Fame Award.
