The Brass Tap, a popular bar concept franchise, expands in Texas.

After opening his first unit in Austin, Tx., Steve Sheets is set to open his second Brass Tap location at the upscale Domain Shopping Center.
From law to lager, Round Rock city attorney and Brass Tap franchisee Sheets is expanding his craft beer bar business with this second location in Austin. This new location will offer 90 to 100 craft, local and specialty brews on tap.
“The new bar will also offer a full food menu — as opposed to the small menu of bar bites at the Round Rock spot — and it’ll be three times the size as the original,” According to the Austin American-Statesman. “But Sheets emphasized that despite these changes, the Brass Tap at the Domain will remain a bar that serves great food as opposed to a restaurant that serves great beer.”
Sheets believes that this location is perfect for an upscale craft beer bar in a craft beer loving town.
“Plus, like the Round Rock bar, the Domain’s Brass Tap will offer live music—something Sheets said he noticed the Domain area doesn’t really have yet,” the Austin American-Statesman said. “The new Brass Tap will have a separate, adjacent space for a variety of acts to play in.”
Like with his first location, Steve will partner with his son in this venture and hopes to be open by the end of the year.
