ANDOVER, MN — Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, the family sports pub franchise, has named Andover, Minnesota, franchisee Bradley Dethmers its 2026 Franchisee of the Year. Dethmers also received the brand's Marketer of the Year Award during the franchise’s parent company, FSC Franchise Co.’s, 2026 conference.
"Bradley represents everything we look for in a Beef 'O' Brady's franchisee," said Chris Elliott, CEO of FSC Franchise Co. “He brought decades of hospitality experience to Andover, but what really sets him apart is how he leads. He puts relationships first, with his guests, his team and the community around him. He's built a restaurant where families, schools and local organizations know they have a partner, and that's exactly what this brand was built on. We're proud to name him our Franchisee of the Year.”
The award comes as the Andover Beef ‘O’ Brady’s marks 18 years in business on October 6. Dethmers, who has nearly 30 years of hospitality experience, purchased the restaurant in May 2021.
Before becoming a Beef ‘O’ Brady’s franchisee, Dethmers opened restaurants around the world and worked with several franchise brands. That experience has influenced how he runs the Andover restaurant, particularly his focus on hospitality and building relationships with guests.
“With any brand that I’ve been a part of, I’ve always believed that grassroots marketing is the best way to go,” Dethmers said. “People want to have their hands shaken. They want to be acknowledged. They want to know that whatever they’re working on is just as important as what you’re trying to grow within your business.”
That focus also earned Dethmers the 2026 Marketer of the Year Award, which recognizes franchisees who build connections with guests, employees and their communities while finding ways to keep their businesses involved locally.
Dethmers said his approach is influenced by growing up in a small town, where local businesses and residents came together when a school, team or organization needed support. He has worked to create that same sense of community at Beef ‘O’ Brady’s.
“Some people think you can just go out right away and get people to come in, but we really built a community base here,” Dethmers said. “When I was a kid growing up in my small town, if they needed to raise money for the football team, the entire town came together.”
Dethmers also recognizes his team’s role in making the restaurant's community events successful. Employees prepare for busy fundraising days and local events knowing they will have the support they need to serve a full restaurant.
“We have a very high-octane team here that likes to go,” Dethmers said. “They get excited when they know about upcoming events because they know it’s going to be a fast, high-energy day.”
As he looks to the future, Dethmers continues to focus on the relationships that have helped make Beef ‘O’ Brady’s a gathering place for local families, organizations and businesses for the last 18 years.
