We’ve always known and loved it, so when it closed in November, I knew we could reopen it,” he said. “It was Beef’s or bust!”Now, Albracht is remodeling the restaurant and is on track to reopen to the community later this summer at 7306 Southwest 34th Avenue, Suite 7.&nbsp;1851 Franchise spoke with Albracht to learn more about his journey to franchising and his goals for the future.1851 Franchise: Frame your personal story for us. What did you do before franchising, and how did you decide franchising made sense for you?Nick Albracht:&nbsp;I was born and raised in a farming and ranching lifestyle. I’m an entrepreneur, and I have several other businesses, cattle and a show pig farm. I’ve always thought of franchising as a failsafe way to open a business, and the model provided me support and expertise that I could combine with my own entrepreneurial drive to branch out into new industries.1851: What was your perception of franchising prior to becoming a franchisee, and what do you want people to know about franchising now that you are in it?Albracht:&nbsp;I have experience in other franchises, so I know how the model works. I’m a firm believer in the fact that, if you don’t know much, you should surround yourself with people who do. I knew it was a valuable support system.Other people should know that, with approved vendors, start-up support, training and other help you get, it’s almost like having a life coach behind you as you start your business.1851:&nbsp;What made you pick this brand? What excites you most about this company?Albracht:&nbsp;This particular Beef ‘O’ Brady’s location has been around for decades. We’ve always known and loved it, so when it closed in November, I knew we could reopen it. We’re currently remodeling and plan to have a grand reopening in early August, but we still have people coming by almost every day asking when we’ll be up and running again. Seeing that level of excitement and support from the community is a great sign.1851:&nbsp;What do you hope to achieve with your business? What are your plans for growth?&nbsp;Albracht:&nbsp;We’re extremely excited to be bringing the location back to our community. We don’t have any specific plans other than letting the community know that Beef ‘O’ Brady’s is back and better than ever.&nbsp;I do see myself possibly expanding to more units with Beef ‘O’ Brady’s or other brands under the FSC Franchise Co. umbrella, but I’m most focused on getting this location running and successful first.&nbsp;1851:&nbsp;What is the one thing about your story you want us to know?Albracht:&nbsp;Everything I do, I do it with an extreme amount of passion. Our goal is to provide a good service to the people while continuing to build some wealth in a family-owned business.&nbsp;I have four kids, including one in college and another about to go to college, and I’m hoping they will be involved. My wife, Apryl, who is my rock, will be one of the restaurant's main operators. Our whole family is very involved in the community, and I look forward to doing this for the community alongside my wife and kids.1851:&nbsp;What advice do you have for other people thinking about becoming a franchise owner?Albracht:&nbsp;Don’t be scared. If franchising is something you want to do, do it.
