Building Kidz, the 50-plus-unit early childhood education franchise, takes a different approach to helping young children learn and develop. In addition to the standard resources and areas of focus found at any preschool, Building Kidz places a strong emphasis on the arts in its curriculum as a way to develop confident, competent children.

“We're all born artists — all of us. We love singing, dancing, mimicking others as we learn about the world, so it's a natural behavior of us as humans,” Sanjay Gehani, partner and chief revenue officer at Building Kidz, told Franchise Times. “There's a tremendous amount of scientific research that has proven [that] children exposed to the arts early in their formative years [develop] enhanced, analytical thinking capabilities [as] adults. It's not just looking for the next amazing performing artist to come out of our school — it’s great if she does — but it's really more about holistic development.”

After over 20 years of operations, the Building Kidz system has grown to over 50 preschools across 11 states, and there are about 10 more openings planned through the end of 2026. As Building Kidz continues to develop its footprint, bringing its unique, arts-focused curriculum to more communities nationwide, the leadership team remains focused on industry shifts and market research to ensure it’s offering the best student experience and targeting strategic markets for franchise growth.

“My focus is more strategic. I spend a lot of time on brand vision, curriculum innovation, franchise growth, leadership development and market research … because it’s aggressive growth we are looking at,” founder and CEO Vineeta Bhandari said. “But we are so confident in the foundation we have built that now things will move a lot faster, and we're truly excited about it.”
