Checkers and Rally's wants to add more C-Store locations.
Checkers and Rally's is targeting c-store location growth, similar to the recently opened location in Gaylord, Michigan, according to Convenience Store News. Although the chain is known for their drive-thru service, franchisee Joyce Stuck says the foot traffic has been great since opening in November.
"It just blows us away," Joyce told CSNews Online. "[The community has] been very warm and welcoming to us as a new business."
C-store locations for the brand are a small fraction of open restaurants, but CDO Jennifer Durham says that is changing and they are "definitely seen a surge in proposed sites and is aggressively going after that as a [growth] channel."
The low initial cost and faster return on investment is an attractive prospect for potential franchisees.
"Our brand is really about three things: flavor, value and convenience," Durham said. "It's a very natural fit."
