A former teacher, McCarthy coached the Lady Gamecocks women’s soccer team for ten years before briefly going into the commercial real estate business. Bowers and Bunch were already looking into another business venture, but they needed someone to run it — and that’s when they presented&nbsp;<a href="https://www.govavia.com/franchise-with-us/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=columbia-south-carolina-native-clark-mccarthy-to-open-markets-first-vavia-franchise-2717067" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">VaVia</a>, a dumpster rental franchise, to McCarthy. After the trio met the franchisors in Nashville, they knew they had found the perfect match in the unlikely field of waste management. Now, McCarthy is ready to serve his hometown with a white-glove and professional experience.“Really, I’m most excited to just be serving others — VaVia is a very unique platform that allows me to meet people on a daily basis,” said McCarthy. “I love talking to people and serving people, and VaVia gives me the opportunity to serve my hometown.
