Dallas Morning News: Slim Chickens Grows in the Dallas Fort-Worth Area
Fresh chicken franchise focuses on growing in Dallas as the brand heads into 2017
Continuing its North Texas development, Arkansas-based Slim Chickens is growing even more in the new year, with growth expected in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Development has been rapid for the two franchisee groups developing in the region, but for franchisee Courtney Lindley, finding the right real estate is an important piece for local expansion.
"Our goal is to open 15 restaurants in the next 5 years but if it takes a little longer to find the right sites we will be patient," Lindley, whose company is opening the Irving restaurant, told the Dallas Morning News reporter.
Currently, there are seven Slim Chickens in the DFW area, most of which opened in 2016. Two additional locations, in Irving and Mansfield, are opening early this year.
