Famous Dave’s has unveiled a suite of experimental updates designed to spur growth for the iconic barbecue franchise.
According to an article in Nation’s Restaurant News, the updates include a new store design, a comprehensive menu overhaul, expanded off-premise sales and an entirely new barbecue brand developed in collaboration with pitmaster Travis Clark.
“It’s time to fight for survival,” said Jeff Crivello, who took over as CEO of Famous Dave’s of America just six months ago.
All of the updates are aimed at reviving a casual-dining format that Crivello says has become “tired,” and encouraging customers or order more often.
