Entrepreneur Magazine: A Franchisee Committed to Helping Seniors Stay in Their Homes

Laura Greenway-Balnar is a Right at Home* franchisee working out of her home turf in the Ontario province of Canada. Right at Home was a perfect fit for Greenway-Balnar, who is an R.N. and has an advanced gerontology nursing degree.

“The mission, vision and values from the corporate team, in addition to the exceptional people involved, had the greatest impact in our decision to purchase and move forward with Right at Home Canada,” Greenway Balnar told Entrepreneur Magazine.

Prior to joining the Right at Home team, Greenway-Balnar was thinking about starting her own company. However, the Omaha, Nebraska-based senior-care franchise was able to provide her with an accelerated timeline for success and support for running her franchise locations.

“They believe in approaching home care from a team perspective, with a holistic, complete well-being focus on the clients and their families. For me, this was a very important foundation needed to provide exceptional client-centered care,” Greenway-Balnar said.

Currently, Greenway-Balnar has three locations with Right at Home Canada in Guelph, Cambridge and Kitchnerer-Waterloo. She is looking at transportation and technology playing a major role in her future with the company.
