Mary Yeager recently joined the Palm Beach Vapors team as the first franchisee to open in Maryland. Prior to joining the e-cigarette brand, Yeager served in the U.S. Army for more than 20 years and as a defense contractor.

"I have never owned a retail business, and I wasn't sure I had the knowledge base to open an independent shop," Yeager told Entrepreneur Magazine. "The franchise system gave me an opportunity to open my own business but have the backing of a system that would make me successful."

Yeager contacted numerous vape franchisors but found that Palm Beach Vapors provided the most support and offered the strongest business model.

"[With other franchisors] there was no comprehensive start-up support like with Palm Beach Vapors, yet they somehow cost more in franchise fees and offered the support that I needed," Yeager told Entrepreneur Magazine.

After opening her Palm Beach Vapors location, Yeager has plans to open a second store within the next six months.
