The method of operation for the franchising world is, "being your own boss." For Amyn Ali, a Wing Zone multi-unit franchisee who also owns Dunkin' and Papa John's locations, this has been a reality.

"Everyone wants to be their own boss for one reason or another," said Ali in a recent article by Entrepreneur Magazine in which he spoke about his experiences in franchising. "After a while, I just wanted to have control over my own destiny."

Not without help and guidance, Ali notes that much of his advice came from colleagues, friends and successful people in the franchising industry. With his knowledge and insight from those he holds in high regards, he is focused on developing the Chicagoland area. Ali currently has a 14-unit deal with Wing Zone in addition to his developments with Papa John's and Dunkin' Donuts.

"I wanted to expand my brand repertoire after I saw how successful my Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin’ Donuts locations did," Ali told Entrepreneur Magazine.

"Wing Zone was a perfect fit."
