Now, the gourmet breakfast and brunch brand is expanding in its home state. The Huntersville, North Carolina based brand is gearing up for its grand opening in Wilmington. Childhood friends Robert Maynard and Brian Burchill first created <a href="https://famoustoastery.1851franchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=famous-toastery-celebrates-grand-opening-in-wilmington-north-carolina-4566" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Famous Toastery</a> a decade ago. The pair wanted a better breakfast option that offered fresh, not processed, food. The restaurant&#8217;s delicious menu and unparalleled service quickly caught on in the community, and the brand started to grow. Now Famous Toastery has 11 locations throughout the Southeast, and plans to keep growing. &#8220;What started out as a small concept has now grown into something incredible,&#8221; said Maynard. &#8220;Through franchising, we&#8217;ve been able to bring Famous Toastery to communities we never would have thought we could reach ten years ago. We&#8217;re so excited to officially open for business in Wilmington and bring our breakfast and brunch menus to the beach.&#8221; In Wilmington, a passion for Famous Toastery runs in the family. Joe Kloiber and his son Joe Jr. signed on as franchisees after dining at a few of the brand&#8217;s locations in Charlotte, where Joe Jr. was working in residential construction. He was looking for a way to break into the restaurant business&#8212;and move back to Wilmington&#8212;when he discovered the opportunity with Famous Toastery. &#8220;I had always dreamed of getting into the restaurant industry, but when I first lived in Wilmington years ago the opportunity just wasn&#8217;t there. So when my dad and I discovered that Famous Toastery was a franchise, and that we could bring it back to our favorite city, everything clicked,&#8221; said Kloiber Jr. &#8220;We&#8217;ve always loved the food, the concept and the culture that Maynard and Burchill created. There&#8217;s nothing else like it in Wilmington, which is why we can&#8217;t wait for our grand opening.&#8221; Famous Toastery is poised for major success in Wilmington. The city is home to thousands of college students, families and business professionals along with tourists who come to visit Wrightsville Beach. The location's soft opening for staff happened on April 27 &#8211; 28. The restaurant will officially open its doors for business&#8212;and brunch&#8212;in May. &#8220;Wilmington is an amazing city that opens so many doors for Famous Toastery,&#8221; said Maynard. &#8220;It gives us the opportunity to not only become a part of a new North Carolina community, but also allows us to introduce ourselves to people from all over the world who come visit. We&#8217;re confident that as soon as Famous Toastery is up and running in Wilmington, it&#8217;ll be a hit.&#8221;
