The better-breakfast brand is adding stores in several areas.
Famous Toastery is making its way into Southern Pines, N.C.
The upscale breakfast restaurant plans to grow from six locations to 35 by the end of 2016, and among the first of those to open will be in the Moore County market next spring.
“We can’t wait,” Robert Maynard, co-owner and CEO of the Davidson-based chain, told The Pilot. “Nobody does what we do. People will discover a pretty amazing product that they haven’t experienced in that area. We think we’re going to knock it out of the park there.”
“We’re a big fan of awarding franchises, but it’s very hard to find the right person,” he said. “At the end of the day, it’s a marriage. If the franchise is not successful, we’re not going to be successful. As of today, it’s a corporate store. Either way, we’re coming to Southern Pines.”
Famous Toastery, which started in 2005 under the name Toast Cafe, utilizes its trademarked “every server is your server” concept to create a family ambiance.
