Fast Casual: Newk's opens 2nd Austin unit

With a historic setting and range of dining options, this new location further cements the brand's presence in Austin.

Newk's Eatery continues to expand with its most recent opening in Texas. According to a recent article in Fast Casual, this new restaurant will feature dining space for more 170 guests and be operated by the brand's partner, Austin Eateries.

While the food remains the main attraction, the history of the building itself is worth noting. Dating back to 1889, the historic setting is sure to draw admiration from guests. The brand worked to preserve as much of the original brick in their restaurant as possible.

"We loved the challenge of keeping the building. It will be one of Newk's flagship restaurants due to its historical aspect, multi-level design and a rooftop patio with incredible views of downtown," said Chris Newcomb, CEO and co-founder.

Newk's will offer a range of options to meet guest dining preferences. Those who wish to take food to-go will be able to place their orders either online or through a mobile app. Another alternative is a case of pre-made dishes that will further streamline the process to appeal to consumers in a hurry.
