Father-and-son duo Ibrahim and Tarick Odeh are bringing the first <a href="https://batteriesplusfranchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=father-and-son-team-bring-batteries-plus-franchise-to-rocky-mount-2713303" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Batteries Plus</a> to Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Together, the pair has more than 40 years of retail management experience. Tarick spent seven years working in financial services for brands such as Wells Fargo and Mutual of Omaha. In addition, he is also the Co-Founder of Adoria Beauty Centers, which serves as an exclusive distributor to numerous beauty supply wholesale firms in eastern North Carolina. The soon-to-be father of three sees Batteries Plus as the perfect fit for the Rocky Mount community due to the variety of services the brand provides in battery, bulb and phone repair in addition to the demographics. The duo has plans to open a second location within the next year.1851 Franchise: How did you first learn about Batteries Plus?&nbsp;Tarick Odeh: It happened by chance as my father was driving by one of their locations and noticed that the store was crowded. As a result, we inquired about the franchise opportunity and thought it could be a great fit for Rocky Mount. Together, my father and I have a combined 40 years of retail management experience in the beauty supply industry. He will have a 51-percent share and I will have a 49-percent share. We both felt like this brand fit well for each of us and love the variety of services that are offered. &nbsp;&nbsp;1851: What it about Batteries Plus’s franchise opportunity that appealed to you?Odeh: The brand has a very strong value offering with the three different types of services between batteries, bulbs and phone repair. In addition, the B2B side was another appealing reason and one that we felt we could do very well with.1851: Why is Rocky Mount a good fit for Batteries Plus?&nbsp;Odeh: Rocky Mount is a smaller market with less competition which makes it attractive from a retail standpoint. Essentially, Rocky Mount has that sweet spot being outside of a larger DMA but being one of the larger communities outside of the Raleigh DMA.&nbsp;1851: Do you have plans to open more locations?Odeh: We are looking to open another location in the next 6–12 months depending on the success of our first store. We are targeting smaller markets such as Smithfield or Roanoke Rapids for the next possible location.&nbsp;
