FirstLight® Home Care, a leading provider of non-medical personal and companion home care services, is expanding its national network of franchises with a forthcoming location in Silicon Valley, California. Local resident Jason Landau has signed on to open the community’s first FirstLight Home Care in December 2019.

Landau is no stranger to the franchise world––he franchised his healthy quick-service restaurant concept based in Oregon, he experienced various challenges and decided that he wanted to continue on the other side of the franchisor-franchisee equation. After 13 years in the foodservice industry, and hungry for a new adventure, Landau made the change to become a Firstlight Home Care franchisee. FirstLight made a huge impression on Landau because of the amount of support the brand gives to its franchisees.

“I was looking for a franchisor that’s been in the business for many years, has all its systems down and could support me––that was FirstLight,” said Landau. “We’re going to provide what FirstLight does best, which is helping seniors. With our service, our clients won’t have to go into a senior care home if they would rather age in place. My territory has a high senior population and people who could definitely use our services.”

As a notable and award-winning home care agency, FirstLight provides exceptional care for seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, individuals recuperating and any adult who needs assistance. With a team of highly trained caregivers, FirstLight is dedicated to the health and well-being of others by delivering compassionate and quality services to individuals in the place they call home. FirstLight’s franchisees and caregivers live the Culture of Care promise, which embodies the brand’s commitment to accountability, personal growth and service excellence.

“We’re excited to have FirstLight join the community of Silicon Valley,” said FirstLight’s Executive Director of Franchise Development, Jamie Davis. “Sharing our Culture of Care with more clients in Silicon Valley is a momentous event which we are proud to be a part of. We are committed to assisting individuals with the utmost quality and are thrilled to continue the momentum of providing unparalleled care to clients within the community.”

Davis encourages others who are passionate about helping those who are aging in their communities to consider a FirstLight Home Care franchise. FirstLight is currently seeking franchise owners.
