FirstLight® Home Care Signs New Franchisee in West Bend, Wisconsin, Bringing One Location to Booming Market

Kelly Gengler is bringing the Culture of Care to West Bend, WI this summer with one new location.

West Bend, WI -- FirstLight® Home Care, a leading provider of non-medical personal and companion home care services, is expanding its national network of franchises with one location in West Bend, Wisconsin. Local franchisee Kelly Gengler has signed on to open a new FirstLight location in June this summer.

Gengler and her husband Dan were born and raised in Wisconsin. They are high school sweethearts who have lived in the West Bend area their entire lives. They have seven kids together, three of which are adopted from Ethiopia. Gengler first started her career after graduating from Milwaukee Area Technical College and receiving a degree as a Medical Lab Technician. However, it was after taking on a caregiver role for multiple members of her family, including her grandmother, who had a disheartening experience in the home care industry during the end of her life, Gengler realized her true passion: helping to take care of people and making their life feel valuable until the very end. That’s why she’s now opening her very first FirstLight franchise on June 18th in Southeastern Wisconsin.

“My grandmother had a difficult time at the end of her life because the nursing home she was staying in didn't have space for her and she was bounced around. She didn't feel like she had any value left,” Gengler said. “What prompted me to become a FirstLight franchisee was the fact that I didn't want anyone else to die that way or feel that they don't have any value. That is why I do what I do.”

As a notable and award-winning home care agency, FirstLight provides exceptional care for seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, individuals recuperating and any adult who needs assistance. With a team of highly trained caregivers, FirstLight is dedicated to the health and well-being of others by delivering compassionate and quality services to individuals in the place they call home.

“We’re excited to have FirstLight join the community of West Bend,” said FirstLight’s Executive Director of Franchise Development, Jamie Davis. “Sharing our Culture of Care with more clients in Southeastern Wisconsin is a momentous event in which we are proud to be a part of. We are committed to assisting individuals with the utmost quality and are thrilled to continue the momentum of providing unparalleled care to clients within the community.”

Davis encourages others who are passionate about helping those who are aging in their communities to consider a FirstLight Home Care franchise, adding that FirstLight is seeking franchise owners throughout Wisconsin.
