The connection between professional sports and franchising is one that we’ve continued to highlight on 1851 Franchise. Athletes who are familiar with following a playbook often have success in the industry since it’s built on replicating proven systems, and Tafa Jefferson, a former Chicago Bears player, is no exception.
After a career-ending injury forced Jefferson into early retirement from the NFL, he decided to pursue his entrepreneurial dreams. Having seen his mother work as a caregiver, he decided that he wanted to get into the senior health care space. That’s why in 2007, Jefferson and a business partner founded Amada Senior Care.
Since its founding, Amada Senior Care has grown to 100-plus franchise locations nationwide. In order to learn more about that growth — as well as Jefferson’s road to franchising — 1851 Franchise sat down with the former NFL player for an exclusive interview.
