About Your Firm: We are a franchise and trademark boutique firm with previous in-house franchise industry experience.

What makes your firm stand out as a resource for the franchise industry?
Our reasonable fees which are possible because we are outside of a high cost major metropolitan area combined with prior in-house experience. We offer advice, like lighter FDDs, that is based on real world experience of what helps franchisors sell franchises, maintain legal compliance, and grow their brand.
What is the No. 1 thing a franchisor/franchisee should look for when identifying the right franchise attorney?
Do they have real world experience on both the legal and business consequences of how they draft documents and give legal advice.
When it comes to your work, what makes you happiest?
Helping to launch and grow franchise businesses.
What are your top concerns for the franchise industry in the next year?
My top concern is the stagnant minimum wage and growing income inequality in the US. Among other things, we need to get the minimum wage up by a reasonable amount ($2-$3/hr) so we do not have a permanent underclass lacking purchasing power, dependent on government assistance, and unable to afford basic necessities of life, so they can be strong, reliable employees and consumers able to participate in the economy and patronize franchised businesses.
What are you most optimistic about in the franchise industry in the next year?
The economy is strong right now.
