Patrick McManaman is adding <a href="http://toastcafeonline.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=franchisee-profile-patrick-mcmanaman-1147" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Famous Toastery</a> to his professional profile and leading the expansion of the brand throughout North Carolina. Growing up in Michigan, Patrick began his educational career at Lansing Community College studying fire science. Through his studies, he was training as a fire fighter and an emergency medical technician where he met his wife, Charlotte. Both completing their schooling at Michigan State University, Patrick obtained his bachelor&#8217;s degree in anthropology while Charlotte was earning her bachelor&#8217;s degree in biology and went on to attend the university&#8217;s medical school. Following Charlotte&#8217;s medical career, the McManamans decided to move to San Diego so she could complete her residency at Scripps Mercy Hospital while Patrick worked as a technician. Over the years, the couple discussed the possibility of moving back to Michigan or at least closer to home. Finally, Patrick and Charlotte made the decision to make North Carolina, making it their new permanent residence. While Charlotte took a job at Novant Hospital in Huntersville, Patrick decided to become a stay-at-home father to their three children Luke 7, Violet, 4 and Jake, 2. During his time spent at home, Patrick worked diligently toward his master&#8217;s degree in health services from an online program through Strayer University. One morning while dining at Famous Toastery, Patrick saw the opportunity to help build out the franchise and jumped at the opportunity. Patrick always enjoyed the family atmosphere of Famous Toastery, and with the idea of business ownership always in the back of his mind, Patrick took it upon himself and spoke with Robert Maynard and Brian Burchill. Taking a leap of faith, Patrick signed on to expand Famous Toastery around the University of North Carolina.
