Tell us a little bit about your background.

I grew up in Ohio on a small family farm and then moved to Illinois for my undergraduate work at Eastern Illinois University and my Master&rsquo;s and PhD from University of Illinois in Nutritional Sciences. I&rsquo;ve worked in many different environments, including government, non-profit and the food industry.&nbsp;I&rsquo;ve always wanted to be a business owner and felt now was the right time for me to start that next phase of my professional life.&nbsp;

Why did you choose to become a franchisee with <a href="http://arcpointlabsfranchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=franchisee-spotlight-anne-kurilich-of-arcpoint-labs-9373" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">ARCpoint Labs</a>?

I learned about ARCpoint Labs through a franchise consultant who introduced me to a number of franchise opportunities. ARCpoint really stood out because they are not just looking at technology and services available today, but are interested in staying relevant with cutting edge technology that will be coming in the future. The drug, alcohol, background screening, DNA and clinical testing opportunities were all very interesting to me, but it was the ability to tie-in health and wellness and the forward thinking approach that really sold me on ARCpoint Labs.

What were your perceptions of franchising before starting the process?&nbsp;

I liked the idea of a franchise because they offer the opportunity to learn from others who have gone through the process. I am still building my own business, but can tap into the experiences of those who have come before me.

What are you excited to focus on with your new location?

I am interested in pre-employment screenings and background checks, DOT programs and clinical and wellness services. I&rsquo;m hoping to really grow with DOT programs and partnerships with corporate wellness programs, physician offices, chiropractors, wellness centers and even local dieticians, personal trainers and fitness centers.
