Khyati Patel is getting back to her professional roots, opening <a href="http://arcpointfranchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=franchisee-spotlight-khyati-patel-of-arcpoint-labs-11037" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">ARCpoint Labs</a> to serve the growing Tampa community. Patel worked as a nurse and lab professional in her native India before moving to the U.S. 25 years ago.

Looking to get back into the medical industry, the certified Phlebotomist is opening ARCpoint Labs, a drug, DNA and immigration testing facility, providing employment services to the growing Tampa community.

What were you doing before partnering with ARCpoint Labs? 
I am originally from India and received a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in chemistry from the University in Mumbai. After school I worked as a CNA in a hospital in India gaining practical experience in labs doing things like taking blood and urine samples, testing DNA and more. I moved to the U.S. about 25 years ago and spent 20 years in Chicago and then four years in the Knoxville area working.

I wanted to get back into the medical field since that is my passion so I got certified as a Phlebotomist. We moved to Tampa about a year ago for my husband&rsquo;s job and to be closer to our 19-year-old daughter who is a student at USF.

How did you learn about ARCpoint Labs, and what made you ultimately decide to commit? 
I have been looking for a business ownership opportunity in the medical field to get back into that industry and to be able to build a business legacy to pass down to my kids. I knew the ARCpoint Labs owners in Chicago and in Knoxville so I had spoken with them about the opportunity, but when we were living in Knoxville I thought the market wasn&rsquo;t large enough to support another lab.

Tampa is a much larger market and currently has no ARCpoint Labs. There is a large immigrant population here and many IT companies that are based here who often hire immigrant employees and need employment services. After a couple of months of research and talking to the corporate team, I signed on to build a qualified team and open an ARCpoint Labs serving Tampa.

ARCpoint Labs is a great fit for the growing Tampa community and perfect match to my professional background. I am passionate about empowering individuals and companies to manage their health and wellness through affordable lab screening. I pride myself on superior customer service, professional specimen collection, and attentive handling of all lab materials and require the same level of care from my team.

What&rsquo;s next for you and your business? Do you have any development/expansion plans? 
We purchased three territories in the Tampa Bay area and hope to continue to expand with more labs in the region.&nbsp;
