With over two decades of experience in corporate communications and a passion for entrepreneurship, Lisa Tubbs is joining <a href="http://franchise.thecleaningauthority.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=franchisee-spotlight-lisa-tubbs-of-the-cleaning-authority-9944" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">The Cleaning Authority</a> to take over the Pine Brook, Parsippany and Troy Hills territories. As a New Jersey local and mother of three, Tubbs understands the need for cleaning services to provide area communities and looks forward to running The Cleaning Authority. She will use her strengths in customer relationship building to provide local clients with the best service possible.

Elaborate on your background:

I grew up on Long Island, New York and eventually moved to New Jersey to go to college and ended up staying in the state to build my career. I studied computer graphics design and corporate communications at Farleigh Dickinson University, where I had the dream of working at a magazine. I ended up using my education in the corporate communications industry.

I worked at Solix Inc., a business process outsourcing company, for 22 years. Twenty of those years were spent working in the corporate communications field and I spent the last two years as a project manager where I was more involved with helping customers and employees. I accomplished everything I had set out to do in my time at Solix and then began to look for a professional change. The support of my family has allowed me to take this leap into franchising.

What is one thing you would tell someone about yourself, or what do you think is the most interesting thing about your background or your most interesting story?

I come from a background of entrepreneurs and business owners, so it&rsquo;s a wonder why I didn&rsquo;t look into it sooner. My father was a commercial fisher, his father was a plumber, but growing up I never considered owning my own business, until I took the time to look into franchising. My experience and passion for customer and employee satisfaction makes me the ideal franchise operator and I&rsquo;m excited about this opportunity with The Cleaning Authority.

How did you hear about the brand and why did you choose to get involved (why franchising, why do you think you are a good fit for the brand)?

After deciding to take a few months off when I left Solix, I had every intention of finding a different job in the corporate field. But once I delved back into the market, I knew I wanted to try something else professionally. I decided to look internally for different options. Soon after, I connected with a franchise broker who learned a little about my interests and what I wanted to do. When I learned about The Cleaning Authority, it felt like the perfect fit. During my years working in the corporate field, with a husband and three kids, I learned how valuable a cleaning service was. It afforded us as parents the time to spend with our children. That personal connection increased my interest in owning The Cleaning Authority. &nbsp;

I also thrive under the relationship between the customer and myself. The Cleaning Authority has this record of success in the industry and its business model is built on forming relationships. Our services make customers&rsquo; lives better. You&rsquo;re looking over the general well-being of the employees, and making their lives better, too. I was drawn to this.

What ties do you have with your local community and how do you plan to serve the community with your new business?

I&rsquo;m interested in the possibility of being able to donate The Cleaning Authority&rsquo;s services to those who are ill or have fallen on hard times. I hope to partner with a local agency to identify people in my community who would benefit from a donated clean on our behalf to help ease some of the stress they might be enduring.
