Looking to get more involved in his adopted community, Rhett Thomas is opening&nbsp;<a href="http://www.rightathomefranchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=franchisee-spotlight-rhett-thomas-of-right-at-home-11195" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Right at Home*</a>&nbsp;to serve Newark and Union City, California, offering&nbsp;impeccable in-home care services for the disabled and senior populations.

To even better operate his business Rhett will be obtaining his Certified Nurse&rsquo;s Assistant and Certified Senior Advisor certifications in order to be fully prepared to help the senior populations of the area.

Tell me about your background before partnering with Right At Home? 
I grew up in the Midwest (Northern Illinois) and&nbsp;then attended Arizona State where I graduated with a bachelor&#39;s degree&nbsp;in communication, with a business minor. After graduation in 1999,&nbsp;I moved to Northern California and fell in love with the Bay Area&#39;s diversified culture, thriving economy, endless outdoor opportunities and great weather.

I began working in the intellectual property litigation sector in January 2000,&nbsp;working my way up from case assistant to paralegal before making the jump to database management.&nbsp;I left the law firm and joined a litigation support provider as a consultant. After a few years, I was promoted to Director of Project Management. I had a&nbsp;strong desire to become involved in an industry where I could make an impact, so I became interested in the polar opposite of what I made a career in &mdash; in-home care. I am really looking forward to being more involved in my community and helping other people in the process.

How did you hear about the brand and why did you choose to get involved? 
I was searching for a way to become more involved in my community when I came across an advertisement for <a href="http://rightathome.1851franchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=franchisee-spotlight-rhett-thomas-of-right-at-home-11195" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Right At Home</a>. I inquired with Right at Home and after working with the company for a couple of weeks, I fell in love with the mission and what the company stood for as a whole. Through my initial conversations with the Right at Home corporate team, I knew this was the right opportunity to become more involved in the community and make a positive impact in people&rsquo;s lives.

What&rsquo;s next for you and your business? 
In the beginning, I want to focus on my first territory to make sure that everything is up and running properly.&nbsp;In the future, I am interested in acquiring additional territory where I can continue to immerse myself in the communities that I will be serving.
