I live in Escalon with my wife and three daughters — they’re 26, 11 and 9 — so we’ve definitely got all phases of parenting going on at once. Giving back to the community is something I really enjoy.1851: What did you do before franchising, and how did you decide franchising made sense for you?Engle: I’ve been in construction and modular building for years, but we were looking for some additional opportunities — something that would allow us to expand beyond our day-to-day. We don’t always win or succeed right away. But one thing’s for sure — if you stop or quit, you’ll never grow or be successful. I truly believe slow and steady wins the race.You could not have told me 20 years ago that this would be my franchise. My mind was totally somewhere else.
