Following the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 97% of educators reported some sort of learning loss in their students compared to previous years. Many parents are turning to tutoring to get their children back on track, with firm McKinsey & Company even suggesting 50 minutes of tutoring a day.

And although the federal government has disbursed approximately $190 billion in funds to support schools’ COVID-19 recovery efforts, new data shows this may not be adequate. According to The 74, data now suggests that the cost to “erase the damage to learning caused by COVID” is closer to $700 billion.

With the unparalleled demand for tutors, franchisees have more opportunity than ever to get into the segment and make a difference in their communities. While there are a handful of tutoring franchises to choose from, some stand out above the rest in terms of reputation, services offered and overall success. Here are five options to consider.

The methods are based on those developed by math educator Larry Martinek over 40 years ago.

Tutor Doctor

Investment Range: $94,295–$138,995
