We went out to do a service, and they had no heat. We had looked into financing and other veterans assistance programs, but we ultimately decided just to help them out with a new furnace so they can have heat.”“As the Founder of the Paramedics Brands for twelve years I am very proud to have franchisees continuing our legacy of generosity and serving the community,” said Brand President Ryan Carpenter. “This is exactly the culture I dreamed about for each location but to see owners like Dave and Missie doing things like this makes me very thankful.&nbsp; We have such an ability to change these local communities and markets.”&nbsp;Thanks to Heating + Air Paramedics’ partnerships with established vendors, the Carliles are connected with Trane Technologies and are authorized Trane dealers. Within the authorized dealer program, there is an option to enroll in a program that grants the dealer five motor units to use in charity circumstances.“When you become an authorized dealer, you get the option to choose from different levels of ‘membership’ that dictate what you’re able to do,” Missie explained. “We chose the level that included the charitable option because that is something we’ve done in the past — prior to our conversion. Now, being a Paramedics brand, we have access to a national company like Trane that makes philanthropy a big part of their platform.”Through this program, the Carliles have access to five Trane units per year to use in the case of a failure or for other charitable purposes.While the Carliles have long been committed to leading charitable giving through their business, this case hit especially close to home as Dave, too, was a volunteer firefighter.“We have to keep the same level of training and put in the same hours that paid firefighters do. When people volunteer to be a firefighter, they’re literally running into danger, and they aren’t paid for it,” Dave said. “So, when they’re struggling, I want to help them. If I was in that situation, I know they’d do the same for me. And that’s what we’re here for. As a volunteer first responder, you don’t do it for the money. You do it for the community. That’s the same philosophy we use in our business.”Looking forward, the Carliles say they’re simply excited to continue growing their business and empowering their charitable giving even further. “We run a profitable company,” Missie said, “so now we want to see how we can really use all of our resources to give back above and beyond. That’s what I’m hoping will come of this — our charity won’t be limited.
