More than anything, ongoing labor shortages and ways to circumvent workforce challenges have been top of mind for executives. Leaders’ ability to not only recruit but retain caregivers will play a big role in home care’s growth in 2022 and beyond.

Michael Slupecki, CEO of Griswold Home Care, discusses how the brand prioritizes caregiver  retention. The company completed a systemwide branding study that focuses on how our caregivers perceive our brand’s strengths and weaknesses. Slupecki shares the results and explains how the brand implemented a new interaction management platform that makes communicating with caregivers a priority

“What excites us are both the challenges and the opportunities. When we hear concerns raised about caregiver availability, vaccination requirements, increased regulations, minimum wage hikes and more, we get excited. Adversity favors the prepared, and we’ve already laid the foundation. When retention is no longer an issue, recruiting won’t be, either,” said Slupecki.

To top it off, Griswold Home Care relaunched the Jean Griswold Foundation, and its sole priority is to provide caregiver support through education, scholarships and hardship grants.
