Home Clean Heroes Offers Comprehensive Internal Support for Franchisees
VP of Operations Denise Morris explains the training and day-to-day support offered by the fast-growing residential cleaning brand.

Like when opening any franchise, new owners are faced with a plethora of information when they enter the Home Clean Heroes network. But the residential cleaning service brand, which has 13 territories open and 31 sold, has streamlined this initiation process by creating a comprehensive training program and network of support for franchisees.
“Our goal is to give them the high level to start and get them to a point where they are comfortable to open and start hiring employees,” said Denise Morris, vice president of franchise operations. “Home Clean Heroes has worked hard to ensure owners receive plenty of materials and tools to learn about and fully embody the brand.”
After a franchise agreement is signed, the training period is split into three distinct phases.
The initial and onboarding phase involves the franchisee connecting to Home Clean Heroes University, a training platform with many informative videos and details to introduce them to the brand, the terminology and the things they'll be seeing in their training.
The second phase is a virtual training that takes place over the course of three days with Home Clean Heroes President Joe Delatte, Director of Marketing Kathy Turley, a franchise business coach and Morris. The new franchisees will learn an overview of the business, KPIs, marketing strategies, and about manager-run versus owner-run operations, sales and customer acquisition, and how the brand’s Heroes First initiative works to support local first responders and their families.
The third phase is an in-person training event, where the franchisees visit the corporate headquarters for five days. At the in-person training, they will learn the ins and outs of home estimates, operating the systems, how to clean homes effectively and efficiently, as well as how to train to clean, budgets, performance targets and more. They receive hands-on experience training out in the field amongst the best in the business.
“What I thought about training and my experience with the corporate team is it really allowed everything to come together. We learned a lot by going out in the field and just seeing how the business operates,” said Malia Sharpe, franchise owner in Metro Atlanta. “The corporate team was amazing. They really allowed it to feel like a family, which you don't always get with other corporate environments.”
Franchisees leave feeling confident to go back and hit the ground running. Before opening, the franchisor encourages doing a “friends and family campaign” where they can do trial cleanings at the residences of their loved ones to give their crews a bit of practice before real operations begin.
And once their business is up and running, the corporate team at Home Clean Heroes is always there to answer any questions they may have.
“We do weekly or biweekly calls with them for probably a year or more, depending on the franchisee and what they feel their needs are regarding support,” Morris said. “We will discuss operations, marketing, budgets — anything they need. The team is available to them via text, call, or email 24/7. We want to make sure that we provide support that's not just between 9 to 5 but whenever they need it.”
“We chose Home Clean Heroes over other franchise companies purely because of the operational and marketing support model that they offer. There have been countless times where they assisted us throughout the lifecycle of getting on board and established as a business,” said Jeff Ruiz, a franchisee in Peninsula, Virginia. “They're very approachable and are experts in this field that have decades of experience. They guide us and lead us to success.”
The startup costs for a Home Clean Heroes single-unit franchise ranges from $76,902 to $100,851. To learn more about franchising with Home Clean Heroes, visit http://homecleanheroesfranchise.com.
