Buzz Franchise Brands’ newest concept Home Clean Heroes just signed on its first franchisees. New owners Jessica and Jeff Ruiz are excited to bring the professional and trustworthy home cleaning service’s first franchise location to the Virginia Peninsula this November. The New York natives’ territory will cover Williamsburg, Hampton, Newport News, York County, James City County and Poquoson.

Jessica Ruiz will be the face of the business, running day-to-day operations and marketing.

“It is an honor to be the first Home Clean Heroes franchisees,” said Jessica Ruiz, who looks forward to assisting local residents with all of their home-cleaning needs. “As I was looking for a career change, it was important to me to find something family-operated that would allow my husband and me time to be with our family while running the business.”

Jessica worked in real estate for nine years—then became a full- time mom. She later went on to work for the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, Virginia for seven years working in guest services and managing everything from housekeeping and maintenance to food, beverage, retail and more. Jeff has spent more than 20 years working in corporate America, holding various IT jobs throughout his career.

“We found that Home Clean Heroes was the best fit among all of the other cleaning services,” said Ruiz. “We found the company online through a video that mentioned Buzz Franchise Brands, owner of Home Clean Heroes. We tipped towards this company over the others because it’s already run several successful businesses. Home Clean Heroes also offers really impressive marketing and features.”

The success of Buzz Franchise Brands other businesses—Pool Scouts and British Swim School—gave the Ruiz’s confidence to take a leap of faith on this burgeoning brand. The Ruiz’s are now inaugural members of the Home Clean Heroes “Charter League.” This group will be comprised of the first five franchisees with the brand who will each save $20,000—lowering the franchise fee from $30,000 to $10,000—as well as receive additional coaching and assistance as they launch their business. This offer is now available in virtually every market in the country with just four spots remaining.

Given the strength of Home Clean Heroes and the visibility the company generates in the market, the brand is seen as a major player in the residential cleaning category. Many other franchisors are sold out in markets where the brand has ready availability right now—so it makes sense for prospective franchisees to get in early. The idea around the Charter League originally came from a suggestion made by Home Clean Heroes Director of Franchise Development Timothy Holadia.

“I suggested that a way to incentivize early adopters could be to provide a deeply discounted franchise fee for the first five franchisees,” said Holadia. “The brand leadership and Buzz Franchise Brands executives decided on the offer and then the marketing team got together and worked out the details. We are very excited for the Ruiz family to become not only our first franchisees, but the first members of this group and to working together with them for many years to come!”

Both Jessica and Jeff are excited to get their business up and running, as they noted lots of opportunity for growth within the market.

“The heavy development in the area makes it the perfect market for Home Clean Heroes,” said Ruiz. “There are so many newly developed homes and neighborhoods and the community is always improving. I have several neighbors who are elderly but don’t want to be confined to a nursing home, so they hire a lot of home services. There is a huge market for services like ours. Considering the large aging population in America, I believe services like Home Clean Heroes are on the rise.”

Having their business so close to the company headquarters, Virginia Beach, will allow the Ruizs to tap into lots of resources.

“We couldn’t be happier for Jessica and Jeff,” said Joe Delatte, President of Home Clean Heroes. “Overall, this is a high-demand industry with a highly fragmented competitive set. This means that there are a lot of opportunities for good operators to grab a large portion of the market share. We feel confident that Jessica and Jeff will be very successful and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them as our inaugural franchisees.”

The husband and wife team plan to continue growing within Virginia and will eventually open a second Home Clean Heroes location covering the Eastern part of Richmond, VA to include, parts of Hanover, Henrico, Mechanicsville, New Kent and parts of Chester. For others looking to open a business Richmond there are still a handful of territories in the market available for purchase.

“We want to be a major player in the area,” said Jessica Ruiz. “We believe in the brand, its attributes and what it stands for. Our goal is to grow with Home Clean Heroes and we’re definitely up for the challenge of being the first franchisees.”

She shared that she and her husband are looking forward to growing with the brand.

“For us, this is a huge step and hopefully we can set an example being the first franchisee footprint in the area,” said Ruiz. “I think it will have a domino effect with other potential franchisees and be the start of huge growth for the business.”
