Williamsburg Yorktown Daily: A New Cleaning Business Opens in Williamsburg
Toano-based couple takes the reins as Home Clean Heroes’ First-Ever Franchisees.

Husband and wife team Jeff and Jessica Ruiz have opened the first Home Clean Heroes franchise location in Williamsburg. Not only is this the brand’s first franchise, but it’s also the couple’s first dive into business ownership. Prior to their investing in the Virginia Beach-based household cleaning company, Jeff worked in Information Technology and Jessica was working in guest services at Great Wolf Lodge, a local resort geared towards families where she refined her skills in customer service.
In a recent article by the Williamsburg Yorktown Daily, Jeff and Jessica discussed how Home Clean Heroes provides professional cleaning teams that can work within virtually all client schedules, and that this concept played a key role in the couple’s decision to open their Home Clean Heroes franchise. “The time-frame of the business hours was a big factor,” Jeff said. “It’s flexible but mostly during business hours so my evenings and weekends were free to spend time with my family.”
Jeff and Jessica had a long-time dream of opening their own business together, and when the opportunity with Home Clean Heroes presented itself, it felt like the perfect fit. “What makes us unique is that we touch everything,” he said. “From the baseboards to the crown moldings, we don’t just hit selective items. No one wants to clean after a cleaning company has been in your home, so we don’t leave anything - there’s no dust, every nook and cranny is touched.”
Jeff and Jessica are excited to see where business goes.
