As AI becomes a larger part of digital marketing, franchise brands might want to start getting ready for a future where more of their advertising is handled by artificial intelligence. LinkedIn News recently reported that Meta plans to roll out tools by the end of next year that would allow brands to “fully create and target ads” using AI.

Franchisors and franchisees alike could soon enter an era where ad copy, imagery, audience targeting and even campaign personalization can be handled almost entirely by AI. Meta’s tool, for example, would let advertisers upload product details and a budget, and the platform would do the rest, customizing ads based on real-time user data such as location or behavior.

For franchise brands, this shift could be a game-changer. On the one hand, AI can help small teams manage large-scale ad campaigns more efficiently. On the other, it may require new investments in training and oversight to ensure messaging stays brand-aligned across multiple markets.

To prepare, franchise brands can:

  • Begin testing AI tools for copywriting and ad targeting
  • Audit current marketing assets for consistency and brand voice
  • Ensure local franchisees understand brand guidelines for AI-generated campaigns
  • Monitor performance metrics closely to validate AI’s effectiveness

Franchises that get ahead of the curve now will be better positioned to drive results and stay competitive in an ever-changing digital world.
