Layne’s Soon to be Famous™ Chicken Fingers, the emerging chicken finger restaurant, has carefully poised itself for exponential growth within the booming chicken restaurant market. In 2022, the U.S. fast-food chicken franchise market is worth over $40 billion and is expected to increase by an additional 4.5%.

“Chicken will always be in demand; that’s why the market and the segment have been exploding. There are a lot of competitors out there, and everybody brings something to the table,” Samir Wattar, Layne’s Chicken Fingers COO said. “What we bring to the table is our history. We’ve been around since 1994 and just started growing in 2018. There’s something to be said about ‘Texas-born and breaded.’ I mean, it brings an affinity to the brand.”

Layne’s longstanding history and relaxed, customer-built culture have undoubtedly played a considerable role in the brand’s success.

According to the Layne’s Chicken Fingers 2022 FDD, Layne’s restaurants’ average gross revenue was $1,529,213 in 2021. Further, Layne’s Non-Traditional Restaurant, a location attached to a gas station in Green Prairie, Texas, had gross revenue of $686,033.00 in 2021.

Now, the brand is looking to bring its Soon to be Famous™ beyond the state of Texas, providing strong, reliable support to its franchisees along the way.

“We’re aggressively looking to grow, and it’s a tough market we live in right now,” explained Wattar. “Everything is expensive, everything is inflated, but we feel like we can handle it. For example, there are shortages and chicken prices are going through the roof, but we have not run out of anything as we’ve been very competitive on the purchasing power, which is protecting the franchisee.”

The brand aims to have 100 units open by 2025 across markets in Florida, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

Franchise opportunities range from $656,000 – $1,280,500 with different buildout options available. Learn more about franchising here.

ABOUT LAYNE'S CHICKEN FINGERS

Founded in 1994 in College Station, the original location became a Texas A&M legend known for its small-town charm, friendly service, iconic chicken fingers and secret sauce. While opening corporate locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the leadership team focused on fine tuning its operations and starting to franchise.  Now, the company is planning to bring Layne’s Soon to be Famous™ Chicken Fingers to the rest of the world with plans to open 100 locations by the next four years.
