Layne’s Chicken Fingers, the Soon to be Famous™ fast food chicken concept, has made the decision to reduce opening costs for franchisees.

Samir Wattar, the COO of Layne’s, recently spoke to Retail and Restaurant Facility Business, where he confirmed the brand has reduced opening costs by 25%. As the franchise continues to near the 50-unit mark, they want to lower the barrier to entry for new business owners.

The franchise is looking for ways to help lower costs for franchisees, so they’ve begun to refresh their restaurant footprint, Wattar said. Specifically, they’ve redesigned their kitchens and are eliminating unnecessary equipment to create more efficient operation usage within the space.

Wattar said Layne’s is making these changes because the brand wants to maintain trust with its franchisees, and added, “when people open a business, it is likely because they fell in love with the brand at some point. As the franchisor, it is our role to protect our owners from the pitfalls we have experienced in the past.”

Franchise opportunities range from $656,000–$1,280,500, with different buildout options available. Learn more about franchising with Layne’s here.
