Lightbridge Academy has a lot to celebrate in just the first half of 2018, including opening its 35th location in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in June with 79 additional units under construction or in development. The leading educational child care center brand is on a path to hit 100 open units by the end of 2020, fueled by recent franchise partnerships with Dunkin’ Donuts and Subway franchisees Pankaj Savaliya and Mit Desai and Dunkin’ Donuts, Shell, 7-Eleven, Baskin Robbins and Moe’s Southwest Grill franchisee Vijay Shah.

“2018 has been an incredible year of growth for Lightbridge Academy. Our ability to attract experienced franchisees that are coming from reputable national brands speaks volumes to the opportunity that Lightbridge Academy offers its franchisees,” said Mark Mele, Lightbridge Academy Senior Vice President of Franchise Development. “As we continue to expand, we welcome entrepreneurs who are both new to franchising and those with franchising experience, but a main qualifier is a desire to embrace our culture of care. We find that our best franchisees are those who focus on providing outstanding customer service, live our core values and foster our Circle of Care philosophy that includes everyone in a child's life with respect and care."

In the second quarter of 2018, Lightbridge Academy opened six new locations, including three new centers in its headquarter state of New Jersey in Millburn, Bergenfield and Fanwood; two new centers in Bethlehem and Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania; and its first location in Virginia in Virginia Beach. The Lightbridge Academy corporate team rented a bus to attend the Virginia Beach grand opening event and support new franchisees Neil and Jane Yeager.

"Opening our first location in Virginia was an important milestone for our brand. Bringing our concept to a new state is truly special for both our franchise system and for families in Virginia," said Lightbridge Academy Founder and CEO Guy Falzarano. "We are committed to supporting our franchisees at every step of the process, so many team members wanted to attend their grand opening so we chartered a bus and brought 13 employees from our New Jersey home office. We just don’t say we're there for our franchisees; we put that into action and go the extra mile to ensure our franchisees truly feel like an important part of the Lightbridge family."

Lightbridge Academy will continue to expand its footprint across the Northeast, with five new locations set to open in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey and plans to begin construction on six additional locations in the same states, in addition to Aldie, Virginia. Construction has already started in Wayne and a second location in Hoboken, New Jersey, and the brand is looking for real estate for three centers in North Carolina that will open in 2019, in addition looking for its first franchisees in Ohio, Florida, and in Chesterfield County, Henrico County, Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Chesapeake, Virginia and Bucks County, Lehigh County and Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
