Lightbridge Academy, which was founded in 1997 and franchised in 2011, and specializes in not only providing high quality child care and educational services to young children, but also supporting the needs of the busy working parent. They offer programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and back-up care for school-aged children. Every Lightbridge Academy center is equipped with a coded entry system, internal video monitoring and silent alarms. The brand is mainly concentrated in the Northeast and the mid-Atlantic, and 2018 proved to be a remarkable year for the brand. Lightbridge Academy opened its first Virginia center earlier this year, and also signed its first two North Carolina franchise agreements, a move that supported the brand&rsquo;s plan to add 10 locations over the next five years in that state.

Now, Lightbridge Academy has major goals for a Florida expansion as it works its way south.

In September, the brand <a href="https://1851franchise.com/lightbridgeacademy/tampa-bay-business-journal-lightbridge-academy-plans-to-open-locations-across-tampa-2707985" target="_blank">announced its plans</a> to expand into the Tampa Bay market, where it wants to open five new locations, and into <a href="https://1851franchise.com/lightbridgeacademy/lightbridge-academy-looks-to-expand-in-jacksonville-2707983" target="_blank">the Jacksonville market</a>, where three locations will be added.

The startup costs for a Lightbridge Academy franchise range from $541,228 to $773,635. The franchise fee is $40,000.
