Lightbridge Academy Targets Orlando for Growth; Exhibiting at The Franchise Show on March 16th and 17th
Chief Development Officer Mark Mele will be on hand to discuss Lightbridge Academy’s competitive franchise opportunity in the early education and child care space.
After establishing a strong presence throughout the Mid-Atlantic with more than 30 locations across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia, Lightbridge Academy is heading south. The early education and child care franchise has its sights set on Florida for further development and is targeting select cities for growth, including Jacksonville, Tampa, West Palm Beach and Orlando.
To jumpstart the networking process with potential unit owners, the brand’s franchise development team will be attending The Franchise Show in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17 to connect with prospective franchisees who are interested in bringing a Lightbridge Academy center to the Sunshine State, Orlando in particular.
As a whole, Florida is an appealing market for growth for Lightbridge Academy due to its high population growth. More and more families are flocking to the state thanks to its sunny disposition and rich, diverse culture. Florida’s developing areas are prime for needing quality child care programs, and Lightbridge Academy’s ability to nurture and educate children while simultaneously meeting the changing needs of busy working parents fits that mold.
“We’re targeting metropolitan areas in the state of Florida that are comprised of dual income families with similar profiles to those we serve at our existing centers throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia,” Lightbridge Academy Chief Development Officer Mark Mele said. “The Florida market is filled with potential and its rising population of families with working parents makes it an ideal region for growth as we continue pursuing our goal of 100 centers open, under construction or in development in the next few years.”
Lightbridge Academy is driven to establish a presence in Orlando because the city’s geography and demographics align nicely with the markets in which Lightbridge Academy is already thriving. Located in central Florida, Orlando is the state’s largest city and a nationally-recognized industrial and tech hub that continues to grow. Lightbridge Academy’s child care services would be a strong addition to the Orlando community when developed near the city’s recently-constructed commuter rail line or existing city bus services, easing the stress for working parents.
“With 20 years of success in child care under our belt, our proven systems and extensive franchisee training programs that support our owners through the opening process and long after they’re up and running, Lightbridge Academy is an ideal brand for anyone interested in making a real difference for families in their community,” Mele said. “We’re excited to meet potential franchise candidates in Orlando to shed light on Lightbridge Academy’s Circle of Care philosophy and the myriad benefits our franchise opportunity provides.”
