IDEA Lab Kids Set to Open New Location in Ontario, Canada
After recognizing the high demand in her community, entrepreneur Tina Francis decided to open a second IDEA Lab Kids location in Ontario, Canada.
IDEA Lab Kids, the Houston, Texas-based education franchise that offers after-school classes, camps, birthday parties and much more, will soon be opening its newest location in the town of Whitby, Ontario, Canada.
Local resident and entrepreneur Tina Francis has signed on to open a new location at 72 Baldwin St. This marks Francis’ second franchise with IDEA Lab Kids. She opened her first unit more than two years ago in Pickering, Ontario. Speaking to DurhamRegion.com, Francis said she made the decision to open the second location as a result of such high demand.
“We actually sold out of all the camps in the first year that we launched,” Francis said. As a mother herself, Francis said she recognizes the need for such a concept in her community.
“My son was the main motivator for my business,” she added.
The Whitby location is expected to open this summer, and parents are able to pre-register for programs starting now.
