According to an article in Lioness Magazine, Ghazal Qureshi, founder and CEO of IDEA Lab Kids, struggled to find the right supplemental education program for her kids when she decided to do it herself. Thus, IDEA Lab Kids was born.

“At this age kids’ brains are like sponges and the sooner you expose them to certain forms of learning the more their capacity to learn grows,” Qureshi told Lioness Magazine. “This idea grew into wanting to educate not only my kids in STEAM but others in the community and now globally.”

Qureshi opened her first location in Houston in 2011 and has since expanded into 87 franchise locations around the world. She strives to not only enhance critical thinking and teamwork skills, but also provide students with technological knowledge they can use in the workforce and beyond.
