Looking for Something to do With the Kids At Home? Try These STEM- Themed Experiments

IDEA Lab Kids in Bakersfield, California offers some fun experiments for kids to do at home.

Keeping kids learning and entertained during quarantine is something that all families are prioritizing.

According to KBAK the CBS affiliate in Bakersfield, California, IDEA Lab Kids has some experiments parents and kids can do together at home. With mandatory shelter in place mandates in effect, it can be difficult for parents to find things to do to keep kids focused, which is especially true when it comes to learning.

One of the experiments demonstrated in the interview is how to build a robotic hand at home. All that’s needed for the experiment is some cardboard, yarn, straws and tape, all of which can be found at home or at any local grocery or drug store.

IDEA Lab Kids’ STEAM-themed activities can help keep kids busy and learning. In order to better serve the Bakersfield community throughout the remainder of the COVID-19 crisis, IDEA Lab Kids has also transitioned to become fully virtual and are offering new experiments on their website.
