Marine Corps Veteran Zac Turner Brings JDog Carpet Cleaning & Floor Care to Denver Metro
After six years as a Marine and multiple civilian jobs post-service, Turner discovered an organization with core values that aligned with his own. From here, his investment in JDog Carpet Cleaning & Floor Care began.
JDog Carpet Cleaning & Floor Care, a franchise under the JDog Brands umbrella, has officially expanded to Denver, Colorado. JDog Brands is a nearly-300 unit franchisor committed to easing the transition to civilian life and decreasing unemployment among Veterans. Zac Turner is one of the many who have found a community with JDog after his service.
“JDog’s core values are in line with mine — like working hard and doing what’s right. JDog is committed to lowering the unemployment rate of military veterans; the integrity of the leadership made me commit,” Turner said.
After six years of service in the Marine Corps, Turner worked as a diesel mechanic, oil field worker and investor. In 2016, he decided to take an entire year off and relocate the family to Colorado.
Turner opened his first unit at the start of August, though he says he’s looking to have a total of 10 vans in the next few years. Within five years, he plans to expand to 25 vans in order to provide service to the entire Denver metro area.
Ultimately, as he grows, Turner is staying true to his roots as a Veteran.
“I’m very patriotic and proud of my service, so if I can have a successful business while somehow giving back to the community, that’s true joy,” he said. “I’d like our main focus to be hiring Veterans. There are programs we are learning about through the Veteran Affairs that helps them get to work in the civilian world and to help those who are struggling would be a blessing.”
The total investment necessary to begin the operation of a JDog Carpet Cleaning & Floor Care ranges from $37,909 to $169,947, including a $10,000-$25,000 franchise fee. The total investment necessary to begin the operation of a JDog Junk Removal & Hauling ranges from $30,000 to $110,000, including a $35,000 franchise fee.
